DAY 122 (05-02-13)

Day 122 of SP… The SUSAN T…. It tells me, and reminds me, that this is the season of change… The air is energized with it…fresh and new… Trees are starting to leaf: pinks, yellows, greens, whites, purples, reds to name a few… Grasses are green and growing; demanding to be mowed.. The ocean barriers to beach entrances have been removed; the way for Town to let Inhabitant know that calmer ocean prevails..The runners and cyclists have multiplied. Baseball is in full swing..boat moorings have been placed by harbormaster, spurring neighbors to prep their boats for moor.. This change is seen by all… you see it in their eyes, their movement.. But this picture stirs a memory for me. One that I hope we can visit a few times before our change….The Old Salt House Tavern, seen in exposure-background, soon to open its outdoor patio… and all the while the Susan T, not specifically knowing, is prepping lobster pot and haul so that I and my family can sit in Old Salt House memory.. warm, cool ocean breeze; cracking lobster shell and drinking cold New England brew.
